InterplanetaryFonts

InterplanetaryFonts was a marketplace where type designers could share font projects, get funded while they work and sell fonts as NFTs.

We built it as a small team for ETHOnline 2022, where it reached the finals, and then took it into the Women Build Web3 accelerator. Our demo video shows the whole flow.

What I did

  • I built most of the hackathon front end: the gallery, the font pages and the creator profiles.
  • On a font page you pick the characters to mint, watch the price change, and test the font loaded from IPFS.
  • Modals to mint, fund a project, and stream payments to its creators with Superfluid.
  • In the accelerator I added Lens Protocol sign-in and profiles, and a GraphQL layer with Apollo.
  • I reworked the home page state and moved fonts and colors into shared CSS variables.
