Letrástica 5

The logo for Letrástica’s fifth edition was drawn as a cast of characters with eyes. I didn’t design it. I animated it.

Each letter watches your pointer and blinks on its own, and the little figures around them keep moving. It was built to drop into the event’s site. Move your pointer over the one below.

What I did

  • Each letter is its own SVG drawing, with eyes that track the pointer, or your tap on a phone.
  • The eyes blink at their own pace, and the letters bounce a little out of step.
  • The little figures in the background jump around at random, so it never looks the same twice.
  • Built to slot into the event’s site as a self-contained piece.

Try it

Move your pointer, or tap, and every eye follows you.
