ASCII Name Generator

One of my first coding projects, and still one of my favorites.

I drew a whole alphabet on a grid in Python, then wrote a program that builds any name from it. It can also fill each stroke with random letters. Type your name below.

What I did

  • A hand-drawn alphabet, seven rows tall, stored as simple grids.
  • A random mode that fills every stroke with different letters.
  • Every name made in the terminal shows up on the project’s website.

Try it

Letters and spaces only. Accents are dropped, like in the original.
